Veal Scallopini Pasta


A quick and easy pasta dish, ready in minutes.

Serves: 4


  • 400g penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 400g veal loin steaks, cut into strips
  • 1 small red capsicum, chopped
  • 100g button mushrooms, sliced
  • 500g jar Leggo’s Roasted Garlic Pasta Sauce
  • ¼ cup cream
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish


Step 1

Cook pasta following packet directions.

Step 2

Meanwhile, heat oil in a frypan, add veal strips and cook for 4-5 minutes or until browned. Remove, set aside and keep warm.

Step 3

Add capsicum to hot pan and toss for 1-2 minutes. Add mushrooms and toss for a further 1 minute. Reduce heat to low and pour in Leggo’s Pasta Sauce and heat through for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, stir through cream and cooked veal strips.

Step 4

Divide pasta between 4 serving plates and top with sauce. Garnish with basil and serve immediately.

Tasty Tip!

Chicken breast fillets can be substituted for the veal steaks.
