Fresh Pasta With Prawns & Spicy Tomato Sauce


Delicious pasta with a spicy prawn and tomato sauce.

Serves: 4


  • 400g fresh pappardelle pasta
  • ¼ cup Leggo’s Tomato Paste
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 long red chilli, seeds discarded and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • Pinch caster sugar
  • 200g cooked peeled prawns
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish


Step 1

Cook pappardelle pasta following packet directions. Drain and return to hot saucepan.

Step 2

Meanwhile, combine Leggo’s Tomato Paste, tomatoes, garlic, chilli, oil, salt and sugar.

Step 3

Pour tomato mixture over pasta. Add prawns and stir to combine. Heat through for 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately garnished with basil leaves.

Tasty Tip!

Smoked trout or crabmeat can be used instead of prawns
